"I usually close it quickly and pretend I didn't see it.
When I moved to Vicksburg, I had two cats and a bird.
I had cared for several kittens and cats, and I considered myself a pro at caring for animals. Little did I know of the nature of birds.
Adopting a sun conure into a house with two cats wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done, but it was one of the most educational.
Sun conures are beautiful parrots about the size of a cockatiel. They typically have brilliant yellow bodies with orange heads and wings in gradated shades of blue and green.
He came into our lives when he was just five weeks old."

Bird Seed Breath :-D
From: www.livejournal.com
"OK who has bird seed breath??!
Sunshine definitely does. He eats those seeds, and then when we kiss him and he sings, phew! Break out the breath mints! Birdie seed breath big time!
BUT! I got him some zupreem pellets yesterday - I noticed he went for those first when mixed with the seeds, and I decided to serve him ALL zupreem pellets. This evening when I picked him up, he had the fruitiest, zupreemiest breath. :-D Lovely Zupreem breath."
2 birds, one cage?
From: www.livejournal.com
"we are not the owners of two lovely teils and 2 cages, one IMO is too small for much longer than the 30 day quaritine period and the other is a nice size but Im afraid its too small for 2 teils to live together in..
Currently, we have this cage but I'm wonder if its ok or big enough for two teils to be together..? or should I be looking for something bigger.. any ideas?
opinions? research? suggestions?
xposted here and there."
new baby!

"Everyone, please welcome my newest addition to the family ^_^
The breeder had just one bird left, and I swear on my life that I'm really sure it's female; her cries sound like my friend's female cockatiel, she has stripes on her tail, she doesn't have a lot of yellow on the face, and she is really quiet and mellow. She loves to sit on my shoulder and rub her beak against my finger. Since she still has about 2 weeks left of hand-feeding, the breeder let me take her since I have experience in hand-feeding, and she gave me some formula too. My other cockatiel, Thaddeus, seems really good with her. He's watched her from a distance and isn't upset, but I'll let her have some time to get used to him and the house before I really introduce them.
Haven't really settled on a name yet; I'm thinking of either Jean Grey, Sunny, or Alexandria.
