"I usually close it quickly and pretend I didn't see it.
When I moved to Vicksburg, I had two cats and a bird.
I had cared for several kittens and cats, and I considered myself a pro at caring for animals. Little did I know of the nature of birds.
Adopting a sun conure into a house with two cats wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done, but it was one of the most educational.
Sun conures are beautiful parrots about the size of a cockatiel. They typically have brilliant yellow bodies with orange heads and wings in gradated shades of blue and green.
He came into our lives when he was just five weeks old."

Ruben- New Tiel
From: www.livejournal.com
"After 2 or so months of being tiel-less I have a new birdy. His name is Ruben he is a cinammon pied and I love him. We got off to a bad start he was static in his cage and wouldn't eat or drink for the first 24 hours. We took him back to the pet store and had a yelling match with the manager to take him back because he was either sick/unhappy with us. Manager made us take him home and said if Ruben dies in 7 days we get our money back!!! WHAT!? So the bird has to die for them to do something about it. We went to another pet store and they said to make his environtment like the cage he was in at the pet store. So I removed ALL the toys and all the perches and have one dowel perch infront of his food and HE ATE. I am going to slowly introduce branch perches and rope perches and toys one by one but for now I am happy for him to be on a dowel perch in an empty cage if it means he will eat and drink. Anyway Ruben is a normal tiel now he climbs, he eats, he squeals oh so loud, he dips his tail in the water and he attempts to fly (his wings are clipped). I love him dearly and so glad I got advice from the other pet stores, should of got a tiel from them in the first place. No entry about a new tiel is complete without the photos.

"Sorry for the frequent updates on Wuzo....
Our avian vet called a few minutes ago. The xrays showed a mass, but it does not look like an egg, as it does not have the hard shell of an egg...it looks more like tissue material. They said it could be one of two things. It could be a soft egg, in which the shell never formed, and it's very hard to pass an egg with no shell as there's nothing to push on. Or it could be a tumour.
They will be taking another xray shortly. They just gave her some liquid stuff that once it goes through her system, will highlight her organs, and show exactly what is inside of her. Our vet said she doesn't know exactly what it could be, but there is a high possibility of a tumour.
I will try and update as I hear more."
