Ad Up The Super Spots
From: NewsTrove.com

"You can make the argument that last year's Super Bowl kicked off the morality war in earnest, led by Janet Jackson's right breast and a host of crude commercials. This year an old guy sang at halftime and a cheap dot-com ad -- now there's a Super Bowl chestnut -- tried to send up the whole affair and failed. Does this mean we're a more civilized, less sex-obsessed, fully cultured country? Nah, it was still mostly beer, boobs, cars and head-crunching football all day long. And there was the return of the dire warning about four-hour erections -- thank you for that free gift, Cialis."

Willow Flies Away; Owner Devastated: From The Tampa Tribune
From: NewsTrove.com

"The young cockatiel is about a foot long, has a crest of yellow feathers on her head, salmon spots on her cheeks and a gray-and-white body with a few yellow feathers thrown in. As cockatiels go, she's a pretty standard bird. But there's nothing ordinary about her. To Willow's owner, Debbie, the bird was a soul mate, a symbol, a companion, a friend. She made life worth living. She was a reason to get up in the morning. Another living creature to say good night to at the end of the day. Willow flew away Jan. 11 while on her way with Debbie from their Carrollwood area home to have her wings clipped."

"Does anyone think this cage is too big for my tiels (i have two) space wise?

I bought one from him before and its still great but I want to upgrade their cage."

Cute commercial
From: www.livejournal.com

"Didn't watch the super bowl, I only like the commercials anyways, but I was just watching some of the best ones and came across this funny one with a Cockatoo.

http://www.big-boys.com/articles/superbowl19.html

Link goes directly to the video, nothing bad on that page but don't stray around the site too much if you don't want to see some "not safe for work" stuff."

Vlad.
From: www.livejournal.com

"After I had moved out of the house, the parents decided that they wanted to keep Sam, who was my cockatiel to begin with! But Mum promised to get me another. So today was the day.. And now, I've got a beautiful (err.. handsome.) grey male (that was their best guess anyways, 99% or something.) named Vlad :) I'll post pictures of him later. Sadly enough, I can't take him out of his cage for a few days until he gets used to the idea of living in a new place. Then on Wednesday I get to go back to the petstore and do a weigh-in and check up on him. Hopefully all is well. I'll post pictures of him later on after I get the camera software installed.

:) it's great to have a 'tiel in the house and in my life again."
