A-B Passes on Jackson Super Bowl Ad Spoof
From: NewsTrove.com

"CHICAGO Anheuser-Busch said it considered running a spot during this year's upcoming Super Bowl that parodies Janet Jackson's infamous "wardrobe malfunction" that took place during the halftime show of last year's game, but decided against it after consultation with Fox and NFL officials. "We basically came to the conclusion at the same time" that the commercial, created by Omnicom Group's DDB in New York, resurrected too many bad memories and therefore shouldn't air during the Super Bowl telecast, said Bob Lachky, vp of brand management and director of global brand creative for A-B."

Room with a view
From: NewsTrove.com

"A s Marsha Mason was plotting the renovation of her Wildwood Avenue home, she knew something special was called for in her dark entry hall. She decided it would take more than a lighter shade of paint on the brown and olive walls to give the room a dramatic face-lift. And so she called on local artist Jo Farris to design a mural for the space. Soon Farris had painted seven Gothic windows on the walls -- painted replicas of two actual windows framing the front door."

Shoppin' And Strollin' Down Calle Del Cristo
From: NewsTrove.com

"Well, the New Year is finally here. Now that you've cleared the closet and rid yourself of your tattered possessions, what better way to spend it than acquiring -- you guessed it -- more things! The post-Christmas and Three Kings Day sales are up, but there's no need to pound the over commercialized, tiled pavement of Plaza Las Am ricas. Why not stroll leisurely down one of the oldest streets in the Americas, pick up some local art and maybe a new reliable handbag in the process?"

Paper addict...any advice?
From: www.livejournal.com

"I have two tiels, one likes to stay in the cage and one loves staying out. The tiel who stays out usually spends hours upon hours throwing papers/envelopes/napkins on the ground and then throwing them in the air and carrying them around the room. He seems to get a lot of pleasure out of doing this & when its time for him to go back into his cage, he gets very angry and jumps from perch to perch & sometimes chaces my other tiel around. He doesn't do this when I leave the room/when he is tired & I believe he does this because he thinks if he causes trouble I'll have to let him out & then he'll get to play with his paper.

Does anyone's tiel(s) love to play with paper, and does anyone have any tips for how I can show him that maybe there is more than paper and to calm down when he's not with the paper? He really does live for those hours when he can walk around and just throw paper up and down. Any advice is much appreciated :)"
