""Fine, but the wardrobe's mine."
John Thompson, who served as superintendent at Tulsa Public Schools from 1994 to 2000, may be looking for a new job again--now that the Pittsburgh School System has decided to buy out the remaining five months of his contract.
If you remember, Thompson was best known for wearing expensive, hand-made suits and for never seeing a job opening he didn't pursue. It got so embarrassing that the Tulsa School Board voted to not renew his contract, even after Thompson decided to stay.
Well, it now looks like the school system in Pittsburgh has had enough."

I'm wanting to learn more and more about my cockatiels. I know quite a bit, but I also know there's more knowledge out there to be absorbed.
I'm not totally sure if this subject should be posted here, but I was wondering if anyone could direct me to any cockatiel sites that are full of information of just about everything on 'tiels."

"Dear Editor,
We have three birds: two cockatiels and one conure. They are part of the parrot family. They are extremely intelligent, gregarious, and make incredible pets. They have free run of our house, and they are truly members of our home.
Last week we were having some furniture moved and while a door was opened, the conure was startled. He flew through the door and was gone. It was a devastating loss. In that year, we had lost Nymphe, our female cockatiel, from laying too many eggs, and Marisol, our cat, probably to coyotes after she sneaked out of the house one night."

His love affair with his tissue box continued

"Today I noticed a scratch on Loki's face. He has had a scratch like this before and it went away after awhile. Today he was scratching himself again and must have reopened it. He's in a good mood and is does not seem bothered by it. I only wonder if I should take any action or let it heal.

The cut is not deep or bleeding, but it is exposed tissue.

From the front...

and just becuase he was being very good for the camera :) "
