I'm wanting to learn more and more about my cockatiels. I know quite a bit, but I also know there's more knowledge out there to be absorbed.
I'm not totally sure if this subject should be posted here, but I was wondering if anyone could direct me to any cockatiel sites that are full of information of just about everything on 'tiels."

"Dear Editor,
We have three birds: two cockatiels and one conure. They are part of the parrot family. They are extremely intelligent, gregarious, and make incredible pets. They have free run of our house, and they are truly members of our home.
Last week we were having some furniture moved and while a door was opened, the conure was startled. He flew through the door and was gone. It was a devastating loss. In that year, we had lost Nymphe, our female cockatiel, from laying too many eggs, and Marisol, our cat, probably to coyotes after she sneaked out of the house one night."

"I got a 3-6mth old grey cockatiel from apet store approx 2
wks ago - a day later I got a yellow tiel. The grey tiel
was really friendly and just wanted to b on u. The yell
tiel was scared and hissed and bit when u went near it. The
yellow tiels a lot better at coming to us and sometimes
steps onto us but is still very timid. The problem is that
when the grey one used to go near the yellow one she would
get scared and bite or hiss."

"We went to the vet office yesterday to re-stock on harrisons for the twits. I was very proud to see that Gabriel's before and after harrison's pictures were made into a big poster on the vet's office door, with a slogan "HBD works, see for yourself". I told the new receptionist when I was buying the food that that was my birdie up there, and she informed me that those pictures have been used to "convert" dosens of birdie owners into converting their birds to Harrisons pellets from a seed diet... I'm sure glad my little fluffball is helping other birds out there :D x-posed... just because :D sorry if you see this more than once :D"

"heya!
just wanted to share that i got my birdies a new perch to sit on so they can be out of their cages more often and sit by me at the computer while i do my work (or ya know, just chat with friends).
anyway, here it is:

they enjoy it..! especially the gray.. she's ALL about food. i think i'm gonna talk to a vet soon and just ask 'em about her weight and stuff. she's quite chubby!
i think instead of bianca and dusty, i'ma call 'em cha-cha and tango. :P
regardless of their names, i still think they enjoy being called "birdie" or "girls" or "gals".. :)
okaaaay, must get back to being productive!!
(sorry, teechers_pet for the same picture twice..!)
edit: the weirdest thing just happeend. both of the birds just flew off their perch and flew over/around me into the bathroom. BOTH OF THEM!! what the heck, are they conspiring? :P hahaha, and believe it or not, both of their wings are extremly clipped. ."
