The idea of a kitten or puppy with a gift bow on its collar may be very heartwarming, and a cockatiel in an antique cage may look very beautiful on a gift table, but in the long run, giving an animal as a gift can be a bad idea."

Egg o_o

"I come with a question~! (I'll introduce the bird-creatures at a later date.)
My female just laid an egg. She's 8 years old and has never laid before, and I have no idea what to do, courtesy of zero experience. I also don't know if it's fertile (she shares a cage with my male), etcetcetc. ^^; I just need some advice from people with hands-on experience. I'm doing a bit of research and am ready to get veterinary advice if required, but I have a need to tell the world anyway.
Sorry if I sound like a babbling over-protective mommy.
Thanks for any information you can provide. :D"

"I am bored right now. Its very muggy here in Brisbane. Zest has been sitting on the couch in front of the fan so I decided to take some cute pictures...

I'm a bit concerned about the both wings clipped situation. Im worried now that he is learning to fly with shorter wings. He can get quite a distance and maintain a steady height. He is now in the habit of 'flying' from the desk to my shoulder or his cage to me (about 10 meters). Am I really such a bad mum to only have one wing clipped?"
He said what now?
From: www.livejournal.com
"What is your birds conversation like? What have you taught him? What does he say? Has he said something he shouldnt?
Zest is 'learning' *wolf whistle* (which he can almost do) *The Charge! tune* "Whatcha Doing?" "Uh oh-spaghetti-oes"
I think he'll probly pick up "Stop it you little sh*ithead!" (cause thats what I say when he's chewing earings, piercings, sequins, beads etc" "Zeeeeeke - Shut up!"
That is all :)"
