The bird recently landed on the ledge of the 7th floor of the building and cannot get down. It's believed to be a pet that escaped from its owner's home. Cockatiels have been known to catch a gust of wind and fly to the nearest treetop when frightened, even if their wings have been clipped."

The 11-year-old wanted a big party, with a pretty dress, mariachi music and hundreds of people to celebrate the occasion. "That was her dream," said Vanessa Castro, 17, one of Doris' cousins. Instead, the sixth-grader was buried Monday, four days after her body was found in a canal about two miles west of town. Jose Ulisses Duran, 20, of Gustine was arrested and faces a murder charge. He had been dating Doris' sister Cristal, 16, and had a secret relationship with Doris, authorities said. The nature of the relationship is unclear."

"A couple weeks ago Squirt started 'crying' when I would walk away and leave her in a different room, whether she was in her cage or not. It's really kinda funny in a pathetic way. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't know where she would of learned this from either because I don't think anyone has cried in front of her before."
