The bird recently landed on the ledge of the 7th floor of the building and cannot get down. It's believed to be a pet that escaped from its owner's home. Cockatiels have been known to catch a gust of wind and fly to the nearest treetop when frightened, even if their wings have been clipped."

The 11-year-old wanted a big party, with a pretty dress, mariachi music and hundreds of people to celebrate the occasion. "That was her dream," said Vanessa Castro, 17, one of Doris' cousins. Instead, the sixth-grader was buried Monday, four days after her body was found in a canal about two miles west of town. Jose Ulisses Duran, 20, of Gustine was arrested and faces a murder charge. He had been dating Doris' sister Cristal, 16, and had a secret relationship with Doris, authorities said. The nature of the relationship is unclear."

"I wanted to post this issue again to see if people might have any new ideas....

my tiel at night sleeps on either the lowest perch in his cage or his food dishes (which are on the sides of his lowest perch). I started taking his food and water dishes out and night because I would wake up to a big mess in both dishes, but now he just sleeps on the lowest perch...

is this ok? healthy? any idea why he might be doing this?"
