Pet Insurance Primer
From: NewsTrove.com

"I’m glad Matty is on the mend. As a pet owner myself, I understand how you feel about her. Pet ownership is on the increase. 58 million American households include a dog, cat, bird, or other companion animal. For most people, a beloved pet is truly a member of the family and we would spare no expense to ensure our pet is healthy and happy. (Yes, happy. Today we even have anti-depressants for pets!) According to the American Pet Products Manufacturing Association, we spend an estimated $30 billion — that’s billion — on our pets each year. This includes veterinary care, grooming, boarding, toys, beds, etc."

Happy Thanksgiving!
From: www.livejournal.com

"X-Posted Every-freakin-where!

In honor of today, I would like to present some pictures of my little turkeys. There are 12 pictures under the cut, just so ya know.

Snitch and Bella decided to be friendly and stand next to each other on S&S's cage door for a bit. Notice Seeker in the background. These also give you a good idea of the size of their cages. Bella's cage is in the background of some of the shots.

And now, here's a close-up of Snitch and Seeker in their cage.

And here's a good one of my little Seeker (she looks very regal *giggle*).

And this picture is just far too hilarious not to include. Bella decided that she should be the star of this picture, so she butted in. Notice Seeker in the background... pooping. *snicker*

That's it for now! Happy holidays! ^_^"

Happy Thanksgiving!
From: www.livejournal.com

"Hi everyone! I just joined this community so I thought I'd post a little introduction...my name is Danielle, and my Tiel's name is Tweety [how original, I know] =). We live in New Jersey. Tweety just turned 6 years old on November 17...I got her when she was very young, the earliest age you are allowed to buy them after they're born [I'm not sure what the age is, 6 weeks maybe?] Anyway, I feel like I just got her...time sure does fly. Her coloring is very unique from what I've been told. When I bought her there was only one other bird with similar coloring and I haven't seen any in the store since then. I think the color is called Cinnamon Yellow-Cheek. Here are some pictures:

sorry those are so blurry
